The Society Journal is published twice a year, and is issued free to our members. Non-members may purchase copies of back issues (if available) for 50p per copy.

For non-members, postage and packing will be added at the flat-rate of £1 for the first item and 50p for each subsequent item in the same order for UK shipments. James Crosbie was an Elder of Alloway Church from 1868, and Treasurer from 1877 to 1886. His diary records many events in and around Alloway, including comments on births, marriages and deaths within the community which have been extracted by Sheila Murray.

The earliest extant records of the Ballantrae Kirk Session contain lists of communicants, testimonials, marriages and baptisms, the latter pre-dating the Old Parish Register. An expansion of our Millennium Project, for which members were asked to outline their family's connections with Ayrshire. Only three local members can trace their origins in Ayrshire and still live here - seven local members have moved from England and another ten from other parts of Scotland, while twenty members living in other parts of the U.K. or abroad also contributed to this collection of family histories.
